Benasque summer school on Experimental Quantum Computation

10 June 2018 - 21 June 2018

Benasque Center for Science Pedro Pascual, Benasque, Huesca, Spain

In the spirit of former summer schools in the Benasque Center for Science Pedro Pascual, we are organizing a summer school this year, right in the middle of a technological revolution in the world of quantum technologies.

The school will consist of a set of lectures covering the most technologically advanced areas of quantum computation by some of the experts in the field. The lectures will also overview modern theoretical techniques which are becoming available to use in near-scale, small-sized quantum processors.

The school will include several tutorials in addition to a set of interactive activities. Note that the registration is already open.

List of confirmed lecturers:

  • Rami Barends (Google): Superconducting qubits
  • Hendrik Bluhm (RWTH Aachen University and Research Centre Jülich): Quantum dots in 2DEGs
  • John Morton (University College London): Phosphor donors in silicon
  • Alejandro Perdomo-Ortiz (NASA Ames): Theory of quantum computation
  • Geoff Pryde (Griffith University): Photonic circuits
  • Philipp Schindler (University of Innsbruck): Ion traps
  • Tim Taminiau (QuTech Delft): Nitrogen vacancy centers
