ICN2 hosts one coffee meeting organised by FCRi

Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRi) organised, together with ICN2 and sponsored by Ibercaja, a visit to the ICN2 facilities. The visit included a guided tour and interaction with scientists who presented samples of technology.

ICN2 will be at the 2016 Mobile World Congress Graphene Pavilion

It's going to be another exciting year for graphene and what better way to start than with a material showcase at the Mobile World Congress. The Graphene Flagship has been invited to present the inaugural Graphene Pavilion at the 2016 Mobile World Congress (MWC). Leading companies and research centers, such as ICFO and ICN2, will present prototypes and surprising applications.

Graphene sensors interacting with the brain and a method for low-cost printing of graphene-based devices at the Mobile World Congress

The technologies presented at the Graphene Pavilion of the Mobile World Congress take advantage of the unique combination of graphene’s properties, such as high mechanical flexibility, biocompatibility, and ability to transport electricity. The Pavilion curated by ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences, in collaboration with the Graphene Flaghship, includes two technologies developed by researchers from the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2).

PLAST4FUTURE enhances injection moulding production technology

This European Project, led by the Technical University of Denmark and with ICN2 as one of its partners through Dr. Nikos Kehagias and ICREA Prof. Dr. Clivia Sotomayor-Torres, developed a technology that works by enhancing the lateral resolution on free-form surfaces down to micro- and nanometer length scales. Its findings are summarized in a beautiful video.
