Prof. Laura Lechuga receives the Physics, Innovation and Technology RSEF-FBBVA Award

The Physics Awards are organised yearly by Real Sociedad Española de Física (RSEF) and Fundación BBVA. Prof. Laura M. Lechuga, Group Leader at ICN2, will receive the Physics, Innovation and Technology RSEF-FBBVA 2016 Award in a ceremony to be held in Madrid next December.

The Real Sociedad Española de Física (RSEF) and Fundación BBVA celebrate a yearly ceremony to announce the winners of the RSEF-FBBVA Physics Awards. It is a high recognition awarded only to relevant contributions in the field of physics. The awardees, who will receive the prize in a ceremony to be held next December, were announced this week. Prof. Laura M. Lechuga, Group Leader of the ICN2 Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group, will receive the Physics, Innovation and Technology RSEF-FBBVA Award.

The jury of the award underlines the excellent career developed so far by Prof. Laura M. Lechuga, constantly innovating in the field of biosensors. Her activity ranges from the theoretical modelling to the technological implementation of the devices, covering the whole path from the ideas to the product. Thus, the jury agrees to award her for the high quality research she has developed as well as for her participation in the creation of companies that made possible the transference of innovative knowledge to industry.
