Open Knowledge Program

ICN2 proudly presents a series of post-graduate lectures to introduce transversal concepts related with the activity of the Institute. The ICN2 Open Knowledge Program (OK Program) aims to create an internal flow of knowledge to share experiences and skills among colleagues. The Program is coordinated from the Human Resources Department, together with all the ICN2 Groups and Departments involved in each Program.

Every OK Program addresses a broad topic from different points of view through a number of lectures. This series of talks have a high scientific level while offering a global overview of the matter suitable for all kinds of researchers and advanced Physics students.

The events are open to the ICN2 Community and other professionals interested in sharing these inspiring lectures. All the sessions are recorded and will soon be available through this webpage, in order to engage a broader audience in this initiative.

The OK Programs held so far are:

  • OK Program 1: How can we use photons to study the properties of condensed matter?
Promoted by the ICN2 Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures (P2N) Group.
  • OK Program 2: From top-down to bottom-up: introductory notes on the preparation of micro and nanostructures
Promoted by the ICN2 Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures (P2N) Group.
  • OK Program 3: Fundamentals of Electronic Excitations and Spin Dynamics in Dirac Matter
Promoted by the ICN2 Theoretical and Computational Nanoscience Group.
  • OK Program 4: Nanomaterials-based biosensing systems and applications in diagnostics
Promoted by the ICN2 Nanobioelectronics & Biosensors Group.
  • OK Program 5: Introductory notes on Electron Microscopy
Promoted by the ICN2 Electron Microscopy Division.
  • OK Program 6: Overview on nanofabrication processes, tools and facilities
Promoted by the ICN2 Nanofabrication Facility.
  • OK Program 7: TBtrans and TranSiesta Tutorial
Promoted by the ICN2 Theory and Simulation Group.
