SUMMARY:ICMAB PhD Thesis: Memristive effects in LSMO/YBCO heterostructures:
 Toward cryogenic artificial synapses
DESCRIPTION:
PhD Candidate: Thomas
Günkel
\n
Abstract</s
trong>:
\n
This thesis investigates memristive effects in heterostruc
tures of the high-temperature superconductor YBa₂Cu₃O₇–δ</su
b> and ferromagnetic La₀.₇Sr₀.₃MnO₃. It presents the phenomenolo
gical observation of memristive behavior in this material system and inves
tigates the underlying conduction mechanism\, with space-charge-limited co
nduction identified as the dominant transport mechanism. Building on these
results\, a compact circuit model compatible with LTspice is developed to
reproduce the experimentally observed memristive behavior. The demonstrat
ed synaptic-like functionality at cryogenic temperatures highlights the po
tential of cuprate-based memristive devices as circuit elements for future
 cryogenic neuromorphic hardware.
\n
Supervisors
