- Description
- The research behind this image is focused on achieving new molecular nanostructures by on-surface synthesis. However, sometimes molecule depositions don't go as expected. In this case, just iodine atoms reached the gold surface, forming a beautiful assembly of iodine aggregates that reminds me of the peculiar façade of the Dalí Theatre and Museum, in Figueres. Therefore, in the final image, I wanted to pay tribute to this famous building.
