- Effective band structure of a quasicrystalline sample of twisted bilayer
graphene. The bands do not have a commensurate Brillouin zone and
follow a quasiperiodic pattern like the real-space structure.
Bands with vanishing intensity are high-order contributions, and bands
with high-intensity have stronger contributions to the effective band structure.
The title comes from the imaginary resemblance with arcs, that form
infinite bifurcating caves.
