- Image of SARS-CoV-2 virus with a diameter of 100-120 nm. The virus was isolated from a Chinese patient sample at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (INMI) in Italy. The sample was inactivated by UV irradiation, which damages the viral RNA but maintains the external structure of the coronavirus.
