- Title
- Graphene Fox
- Technique
- Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)
- Description
- Graphene is a carbon-based material made of thin sheets of nanometre thickness. Compared to other nanomaterials, graphene is strikingly different due to its superior physico-chemical properties. This 'wonder material' is also quite unique due to its 2-D random and irregular shapes, rather difficult to be described by universal terms. This electron micrograph illustrates the ‘hidden’ imagery showing a very thin (2-4 nanometers) large graphene flake folded in the shape of an animal that likes to hide.
- Technical specifications
- Graphene flakes are here observed through a transmission electron microscope, using a magnification of 1400x. Post-processing was done to add the fox eyes using Corel Photo-Paint 2018 software.
