Five Centres of Excell ence “Severo Ochoa” and the two Units of Excellence “María de Maeztu” are located in the UAB Campus. This makes the UAB the Spanish Campus with the highest number of institutes with scie ntific excellence distinction. The main objective of this whole day Worksh op is to share different organizational structures that have led these cen ters to achieve the Accreditation as Centres of Excellence “Severo Ochoa ” and Units of Excellence “María de Maeztu”.
\nDuring this meeting relevant figures of the Spanish resear ch and administration will discuss the political and scientific strategies applied by different public and private entities/institutions. The goal i s to encourage and to stimulate the scientific community from universities and research centers to achieve the highest scientific level of excellenc e. The five Centres of Excellence "Severo Ochoa" and the two units of Exce llence "Maria de Maeztu" in UAB Campus will participate to discuss strateg ies for achieving the highest scientific level.
\nProf Pablo Ordejón is among the event Speake rs\, as the Director of ICN2\, one of the Severo Ochoa centers placed at t he UAB Campus.
