New Advanced Equipment: desktop nanofabrication system

NANOUP group has acquired an advanced nanolithographic instrument, the NLP 2000 System, provided by NanoInk. Inc.

NLP 2000 System is a desktop nanofabrication system that will allow us to rapidly design and create custom engineered and functionalized surfaces on the micro and nanoscale, using Dip Pen Nanolithography (DPN) to transfer minute amounts of materials over a large, environmentally controlled work area. NLP 2000 System will be used to research supramolecular nanomaterials, nano and bottom up combinatorial chemistry, antibody and antigen interactions, and to facilitate material discoveries and the study of their fundamental properties.

The NLP 2000 System is a versatile desktop nanolithography platform designed for patterning a variety of materials using the proven technique of Dip Pen Nanolithography® (DPN®). An extensive catalog of materials including biological molecules, nanoparticles, and small molecules such as SAM forming thiols may be deposited on many different kinds of substrates. Arrays of nanoscale and microscale lines and dots can be rapidly generated inside the environmentally controlled work area with the simple and intuitive software interface. Multiplexed arrays are easily created using NanoInk's inkwells that bridge macroscale dispensing with micro- and nanoscale patterning.
