The Optical Society awards Prof Laura Lechuga as one of its 2014 class of Fellows

The Optical Society (OSA) has announced the 2014 class of Fellows. Dr. Laura Lechuga is among the 71 OSA members awarded with this recognition for their significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics.

Every year The Optical Society (OSA) awards some of its members for their significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics. Prof Laura Lechuga, CSIC Full Professor and Group Leader at the ICN2 NanoBiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group and CIBER-BBN investigator, is among the 71 OSA members awarded in 2014.

 

The committee who reviewed the nominations recognizes her significant research leadership and pioneering development of novel and compact biomedical sensors based on advanced integrated photonic techniques and plasmonic devices, combining science with real-life applications and technology transfer.
