CSIC Research Professor Pedro Gómez Romero introduces graphene at TV3

Prof. Pedro Gómez Romero, Novel Energy-Oriented Materials Group Leader at ICN2, was interviewed on graphene by Tomas Molina in TV3’s (public Catalan TV station) program Espai Terra.

Journalist Tomas Molina leads the TV3’s (public Catalan TV station) program about nature and science “Espai Terra”. On June 4, Prof. Pedro Gómez Romero, Novel Energy-Oriented Materials Group Leader at ICN2, was interviewed in this program about graphene, its origin, its properties and future applications. His participation was related with the opening of the Science, Technology and Innovation Festival of Barcelona, where ICN2 collaborates.

During the interview, the importance of the Graphene Flagship project was highlighted. ICN2 is the coordinator of the working group on Spintronics and one of the original designers of the project.  Prof. Pedro Gómez Romero emphasized the potential applications of graphene presenting them as something relatively close and fast-moving. The ICN2 was reflected as a research center where scientists think, study and try to understand the behavior of graphene and also work on mass production of this material that promises major changes for the future.
