Nature Jobs announces ‘La Caixa’ – Severo Ochoa International PhD Fellowship Program

The reference jobs site publishes the list of the Severo Ochoa Excellence Centers, which will welcome young talents during next year through 46 PhD fellowships funded by “La Caixa”.

Nature Jobs, the reference science jobs site, has recently published that ‘La Caixa’ Foundation, in collaboration with all the Severo Ochoa Excellence Centers, offers a large number of PhD fellowships to be developed by international young researchers. The diffusion in this website reaffirms the global impact of the project and the objective to attract worldwide talent. It will help disseminating the offers to all universities and research centers so that everyone interested is able to apply.

It is the third call of the International PhD Program “La Caixa” – Severo Ochoa, and will enable 46 more students to be taken on to study their doctoral thesis projects for the next four years. The grants will be awarded, after an international selection process, to the students with the greatest talent and best academic record. Between 2013 and 2018, the ‘La Caixa’ Foundation will have allocated more than 15 million euros for this new program.

The Institut Catala de Nanociencia i Nantoecnologia (ICN2) is, since 2014, among the 18 Severo Ochoa Centers involved in the project and offers collaborations in the area of Physics which will be released during the first weeks of 2015. Thanks to these fellowships, three students will have the opportunity to enrol a team of excellent researchers working in the nanoscale world at ICN2.
