ICN2 participates in the 5th ACER Spring School

Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca (ACER) organized a Spring School addressed to Catalan Research Centres which had the aim to share knowledge about specific topics and allow the institutions to network in a friendly atmosphere.

Members from the ICN2 Marketing and Communication Department attended on June the 16th the 5th edition of the ACER Spring School. Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca (ACER) joins Catalan research centres to contribute to defining the scientific and research priorities and policies in Catalonia. This new edition of the Spring School reunited over ten research centres which could share knowledge and network.

Joan Francesc Canovas shared his experience as a journalist and specialist in crisis communication. After him, three research centres (IBEC, IRB and ICP) talked about their recent crowdfunding projects remarking the pros and cons of this kind of initiatives. And finally, scientist and journalist Michele Catanzaro gave the assistants some advice in how to communicate at an international scale.

In this year’s edition, the research centres attending the conferences had the opportunity to present a poster sharing their dissemination activities. In the ICN2 poster, we presented the project ‘NANOKIT’ which has the aim to introduce nanoscience and nanotechnology in High School and will be implemented during next year in collaboration with UB, UAB, Cesire and Esciencia.
