Dr Alejandro Gómez’s Poster awarded in the International Conference on Magnetism 2015

‘Size Dependent Magnetism in FeO/Fe3O4 Core/Shell Nanoparticles’ becomes the best poster about Magnetism of Nanoscale Systems on the second day of the ICM2015.

ICN2 researcher Dr Alejandro Gómez Roca, from Magnetic Nanostructures Group, has been awarded for his Poster during the International Conference on Magnetism 2015, which took place on 5-10 July at the Palau de Congressos in Barcelona.

The poster, entitled Size Dependent Magnetism in FeO/Fe3O4 Core/Shell Nanoparticles, was elected as the best one of the second day in the category of Magnetism of Nanoscale Systems. In the research, he and his team mates present the study of the structural and magnetic properties of ‘inverted’ antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic (AFM/FiM) core/shell nanoparticles as opposed to the typical FM/AFM.
