Nanotechnology to reduce energy consumption

On the occasion of the World Energy Day, “la Caixa” Foundation has shared a video clip about a research project that was granted the MIT-Spain “La Caixa” Foundation Seed Fund research grant and is being developed at the ICN2.

This study, conducted at ICN2 in collaboration with the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is led by ICREA Prof. Clivia Sotomayor-Torres and Dr. Marianna Sledzinska of the ICN2 Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures Group. The winning projects of this year’s grant call were presented on May 17.

In this video, Dr. Marianna Sledzinska talk about bidimensional nanomaterials, which can be used in electronic devices to improve their thermic properties.
