Excellence in Research recognition to ICN2 Human Resources renewed

The ICN2 Human Resources Department got the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) badge extended until 2024. This award is conferred to research institutions and organizations supporting a working environment that fosters professional growth and equity.

After receiving the HRS4R recognition for the first time in May 2015, the ICN2 Human Resources Department has continued to distinguish itself for good practices and excellence in the processes of recruitment, training and development of its employees, as well as for equal opportunities policies and projects. This has allowed the ICN2 to get this prestigious award renewed, currently until 2024.

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) supports research institutions and funding organisations in the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, adopted by the European Commission in 2005. Progress in the implementation of these policies and practices is recognised by the European Commission through the HRS4R Excellence in Research badge.

The process of renewal consisted in updating the HR Action Plan and a discussion with external experts. The evaluation was oriented at analysing the institutional achievements in HR-related topics and included an online assessment held in July. The external experts performed interviews with different members and profiles of our institute.

The internal participants were: Prof. Pablo Ordejón, Distinguished Researcher, Group Leader and Director; Mr Lluis Bellafont, ICN2 Manager; ICREA Prof. Jose Antonio Garrido, Group Leader and Deputy Director; Mr Julio Gómez, Head of Human Resources; Mrs Ana Belén Ávalos, People Development Officer; Dr Neus Domingo, CSIC Distinguished Researcher; Dr Margarita Navia, Head of Strategy; Dr Pablo Pomposiello, Head of Business and Innovation; Dr Inhar Imaz, Senior Researcher; Dr Giulio Rosati, Postdoctoral Researcher; Dr Regina Galceran, Postdoctoral Researcher; Mrs Ivana Cavaliere, Doctoral Student; Mrs Marta Delgà, Doctoral Student.

The HR Action Plans defined for the present and past periods are available in the Careers section of the ICN2 website.
