ICN2 celebrates yet another achievement by its early-career researchers. Marc Botifoll’s doctoral research, conducted under the supervision of ICREA Prof. Jordi Arbiol, has been recognised with the CSIC Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award, one of the most prestigious distinctions for doctoral research from all CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) centres.

The award, presented yesterday in Madrid, highlights the most outstanding theses defended in 2023 and 2024 across the institution’s centres and units, with only ten works selected from all areas of research. This recognition underscores the quality and impact of the research carried out at ICN2, further consolidating its position as a leading centre in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Moreover, the award reaffirms the centre’s commitment to attracting the best young talent. Congratulations to Dr Marc Botifoll!
