In an event in Madrid last March, the SOMMa alliance of the Severo Ochoa centres and María Maeztu units presented its position paper on the actions needed from government to safeguard the competitiveness of Spanish science. This month Spanish industry and the business sector have spoken out in support of the research sector and its petition for the first time.
