This partnership will create new opportunities for collaborations and strengthen the Institute’s links with Spain’s microelectronics and semiconductor technology ecosystem.
ICN2 has recently joined the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI). This incorporation will strengthen ties with companies and other organisations across the sector, creating new opportunities for research, knowledge transfer, and technological development in an area that is key to the industrial competitiveness of Catalonia, Spain, and Europe.
AESEMI is the leading organisation representing Spain’s semiconductor industry. It aims to drive the development of the national microelectronics landscape by supporting its growth and fostering cooperation between companies, research centres, universities, and other organisations working in this area.
This new collaboration provides an excellent opportunity for ICN2 to continue supporting the development of an increasingly important sector, particularly in the field of advanced semiconductors. The Institute has already established itself as a leading research centre in this area, participating in several strategic projects, including InnoFAB.
By joining AESEMI, ICN2 will be able to collaborate more closely with key stakeholders across the semiconductor ecosystem, generating new opportunities to apply its research and technologies in an industrial context. This will reinforce the connection between research and industry, allowing ICN2 to contribute its expertise to the development of emerging semiconductor technologies and initiatives that promote the sector's competitiveness.
