Organisation
ICN2 is led by its Director, Prof Pablo Ordejón, who reports to the Board of Trustees and is advised by the Scientific Advisory Board, made up of numerous distinguished international scientists.
Research activities are directed by Research Group Leaders - senior scientists of international repute that lead research teams focused on their respective areas of expertise. Their activity is supported by specialised laboratory engineers and technical and administrative staff. The ICN2 Strategy Development Office anticipates and provides a response to the challenges faced by the institute on both the long and short term.
ICN2 comprises 19 Research Groups and 9 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The 8 Administration Departments and areas, overviewed by the ICN2 General Manager, Mr. Lluís Bellafont, support the research activity with their services and actions.
