Jordi Piella wins the 2nd prize of Elvira Rodenas Ciller Award

The award is given to the best doctoral thesis on colloids and interfaces.

Jordi Piella is a former PhD student from the ICN2 Inorganic Nanoparticles Group, led by ICREA Prof. Víctor Puntes. He read his thesis, entitled "Advanced Synthesis and Characterization of Noble Metal Nanoparticles", on 8 November 2018. Now, he has been awarded the 2nd prize of the Elvira Rodenas Ciller Award to the best doctoral thesis on colloids and interfaces. The award is an initiative by the Specialised Group on Colloids and Interfaces (GECI), a multidisciplinary group of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the Spanish Royal Society of Physics composed of researchers from several Spanish universities and CSIC.
