Dr Maria Tenorio receives the Young Postdoctoral Researchers Award at the Spanish Royal Physics Society meeting

by Virginia Greco

Tenorio obtained her PhD earlier this year defending a thesis on graphene-based nanoarchitectures.

Dr Maria Tenorio, postdoctoral researcher in the Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy Group, led by ICREA Prof. Aitor Mugarza, has been awarded for her research at the XXXVIII Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Physics Society (RSEF) within the Contest for Young Postdoctoral Researchers.

She received her PhD in February this year, presenting a thesis titled “On-surface synthesis of nitrogen-doped graphene-based nanoarchitectures: 0D nanographenes, 1D nanoribbons and 2D nanoporous graphene”. She carried out this work under the supervision of Prof. Mugarza and Dr César Moreno, former member of the same group and currently RyC researcher at the University Cantabria.

Congratulations Maria on this great achievement!
