Our Severo Ochoa
ICN2 is a reference centre for nanoscience and nanotechnology research. Twenty research groups, covering a wide spectrum of the nano-world—from computational science to biomedical devices—form the core of our scientific community.
Our activities have been recognised since 2014 through three consecutive Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence accreditations, a distinction awarded by the Spanish Research Agency (AEI) to research institutions of demonstrated international leadership. Each of these accreditations has served to implement a strategic plan, the three of which have shaped our scientific priorities, strengthened our infrastructure and opened new doors for successful collaborations.
