BIST Career Week is organised by BIST in collaboration with its seven research centres: CRG, IBEC, ICFO, ICIQ, ICN2, IFAE and IRB Barcelona. With the support of Barcelona City Council (Funded with tourist tax).
The initiative is designed to provide the scientific community with a comprehensive overview of the skills required to advance their careers, while also offering insights into a range of professional opportunities across different sectors.
The programme will take place over five days, from Monday to Friday, and will include online workshops in the mornings and online round-table discussions in the afternoons. The sessions will feature distinguished speakers representing a broad range of professional backgrounds, career paths and areas of expertise.
Javier Rodríguez-Viejo, Professor at the UAB and Senior Group Leader of the Thermal Properties of Nanoscale Materials Group at ICN2, will participate in the round table entitled “Pathways to Leadership in Academia”, which will take place on 6 July at 3:00 pm.
