NanoEduca (2015–2025)

NanoEduca was an educational programme co-led by ICN2, the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and CESIRE (Department of Education, Generalitat de Catalunya), designed to introduce nanoscience and nanotechnology into secondary school classrooms across the Catalan territory. Over ten editions, the programme reached hundreds of students and teachers through a combination of teacher training, hands-on experimental kits and an annual contest.

In 2018, NanoEduca was awarded the Catalan National Prize for Scientific Communication, recognising its impact on science education. After its final edition in the 2024–2025 academic year, the programme has now concluded. Its educational resources remain freely available for students, teachers and anyone curious about the nanoworld.
