The growing demand for energy and the urgent need to reduce emissions call for new approaches towards more sustainable energy technologies. At ICN2, we develop advanced nanomaterials and technologies for more efficient energy generation, conversion, storage and management. Our research addresses key challenges in areas such as solar energy, batteries, fuel cells, electrolysers and thermal management, combining nanoscale materials design with advanced characterisation, modelling and AI-driven approaches. By bridging fundamental understanding with application-oriented research, we aim to contribute to the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
