Representatives from both institutions met in Toulouse to identify synergies and shared areas of interest. The meeting aimed to pave the way for future joint initiatives and establish a strong long-term partnership.
On 20 July, the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) and ICN2 held an institutional meeting in Toulouse, exploring new avenues for collaboration and aiming to strengthen the ties between the two organisations. This meeting was a follow-up to the initial contacts established in March, when a KRICT delegation visited ICN2. This initial visit helped to identify shared research interests and confirmed the commitment of both institutions to developing joint initiatives.
The session brought together representatives from both organisations. From the ICN2, Dr Neus G. Bastús, leader of the Inorganic Nanoparticles Group and Dr Andrés Henao, leader of the Computer Science, Data and Artificial Intelligence Unit attended the meeting. The Institute's Strategy Department was also represented by Dr Marta Delgà, the Internationalisation Officer, and Dr Margarita Navia, Head of Strategy. Through a series of presentations and discussions, participants exchanged views on strategic priorities and explored opportunities for scientific and institutional collaboration.
Topics discussed included sustainable chemistry, advanced nanomaterials research, and artificial intelligence-based tools and applications in research. At ICN2, we are delighted to be taking the first steps towards this strategic partnership, and we are confident that it will lead to exciting opportunities for future collaborative projects.
