Celebrating Women in Science

Tuesday 13 February 2018, 09:30am

ICN2 Seminar Hall, ICN2 Building, UAB

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science was established in 2016 by the United Nations in a bid to raise awareness of the persistent gender gap in world research.

At the ICN2 we fully share the views of the international community on the participation of women in science. This event “Celebrating Women in Science”, will see many of our very own women in science taking the stage to talk about their journeys so far, sharing anecdotes, tips and best practices with the younger ICN2 scientists hoping to follow in their footsteps. The event will also feature prominent women from outside of the ICN2 who have earned positions of influence within the research community.
