Ahead Therapeutics will participate in the Boston Immersion Program
The spin-off receives the UAB Research Park and Catalunya Emprèn scholarship and will have the opportunity to attend the 2018 edition of the Boston Entrepreneurship Program at Richi Entrepreneurs, from October 15 to November 2, 2018. The objective of this program is to identify and train entrepreneurial talent for social innovation projects.
Ahead Therapeutics SL is a spin-off signed on December 2017 between the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) and the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA). The young biotech company is linked to the IGTP Immunology of Diabetes Research Group led by Dr Marta Vives-Pi and to the ICN2 Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials Group led by ICREA Research Prof. Daniel Maspoch, where researcher Dr Mary Cano is also based.
The spin-off has been the innovative project selected by the UAB Research Park and the Richi Entrepreneurs to participate in the Boston Immersion Program. The company will have a scholarship of 50% of registration costs, thanks to the support of the Department of Business and Knowledge, through the Catalunya Emprèn Program. Martí Dalmases, executive director of the company, will travel to the capital city of Massachusetts for 3 weeks to explore and connect with the world's leading ecosystem in life sciences and a benchmark in cleantech, innovation and social entrepreneurship.
