InCAEM Invites Academic Community and Industry Partners to a Series of Talks

by Àlex Argemí

InCAEM, the energy materials research facility currently under construction at the ALBA Synchrotron premises, has organized a series of talks to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among the academic community and industry partners. The talks will be held monthly and will cover a variety of topics related to energy materials. The facility is expected to be fully operational by mid-2025, providing new opportunities for research and innovation in the field of sustainable energy.

InCAEM, the energy materials research facility under construction at the ALBA Synchrotron premises, has put together a series of talks to maximize the potential of this cutting-edge facility. The talks will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00h in the ALBA Auditorium or Tesla Room.

This initiative invites the academic community and industry partners to exchange knowledge, learn from each other and external experts, and engage in discussions for present and future collaborations. The second seminar will be hosted by Juan J. Velasco, the beamline responsible for 3Sbar at ALBA.

InCAEM's primary objective is to address the scientific challenges of the European Green Deal by focusing on energy materials, which have applications in crucial fields such as batteries, solar cells, and industrial catalysts. This facility, which is expected to be fully operational by mid-2025, will be open to the entire scientific community, creating opportunities for collaboration and strengthening the links between research institutions and industry partners.

The project has received funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Generalitat de Catalunya through the Planes Complementarios programme, including NextGenerationEU funds. It is coordinated by the ALBA Synchrotron, with participation from ICN2, the Institute for Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), the Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE), and the Scientific Information Port (PIC).

We invite the academic community and companies to register for the upcoming talks via this link: https://indico.cells.es/event/1346/. Please also share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the exciting research opportunities that InCAEM is bringing to the table and to engage in meaningful collaborations that can contribute to a sustainable future.
