Abstract: The Societat Catalana de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (SCN2) is a non-lucrative and independent scientific association inspired by the main national scientific Societies, which aims to gather all the professionals working in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Catalonia. It is devoted to the promotion and dissemination of these sciences all along the catalan territory, and has a strong compromise with education and scientific communication. Founded in 2016, the association is coordinated and promoted by students, graduates and young professionals working in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
Among our activities are the organization of events and scientific meetings giving voice to researchers beyond their laboratory environments, as well as workshops for improving the professional and soft skills of the scientific community.
In this talk, we will present the SCN2, the project portfolio of the last two years and the increasingly ambitious projects under planning for which we are looking for collaborators. We will comment on the convergence of many strategic lines of action of both entities as well as mention the benefits of forming part of the SCN2 both for students and researchers. By formally presenting the association at the ICN2 we seek to strengthen the relations within the nano-community. We look forward to meet you there.
