His theoretical study on spin dynamics in 2D quantum materials, developed within the ICN2 Theoretical and Computational Nanoscience Group, will be published in the Springer Theses series.
The PhD thesis of Dr Marc Vila Tusell –currently postdoctoral researcher in the ICN2 Theoretical and Computational Nanoscience Group, led by ICREA Prof. Stephan Roche— was recognised as outstanding and selected for publication by Springer. Titled “Spin Dynamics in Two-Dimensional Quantum Materials: A Theoretical Study”, it will appear in the Springer Theses series.
Dr Vila’s work, which focuses on the exploration of nontrivial spin dynamics in graphene-based devices and topological materials, using realistic theoretical models and state-of-the-art quantum transport methodologies, was developed at the ICN2 under the supervision of ICREA Prof. Stephan Roche, Dr Aron W. Cummings (Senior Researcher in Prof. Roche’s group) and ICREA Prof. Sergio O. Valenzuela, leader of the ICN2 Physics and Engineering of Nanodevices Group.
