Prof. Jordi Arbiol was one of the coordinators of the event.

Last Friday 24 January the BIST Symposium on Microscopy, Nanoscopy and Imaging Sciences took place. This event is part of the Master of Multidisciplinary Research in Experimental Sciences organised by BIST and the UPF. More than 150 people gathered in the ICFO premises to discuss and learn more about different imaging techniques with applications in materials science, biology or medicine.

The symposium was co-organised by the ICFO and the ICN2. Prof. Jordi Arbiol, Leader of the ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, was one of the coordinators of this event, which counted with the participation of speakers coming from Paris, Oxford, Jülich, Zurich, Heidelberg and Pisa. The BIST-UPF Master students had also the opportunity to test their communication skills in the poster presentation.
