Dr PengYi Tang receives the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad
The award recognises his work for his PhD at the ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group.
The Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad was established by the China Scholarship Council in 2003. The recipients are chosen annually based on a record of outstanding accomplishments in any discipline. Dr PengYi Tang, from the Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, is among the awardees of the last edition. This prize is considered the highest award given by Chinese government to graduate students studying outside China. The number of Chinese students leaving China to study abroad is more than half a million each year, which makes this prize highly competitive. Currently, 500 students are awarded yearly, and Dr PengYi Tang is one of them. Congratulations!
