She closed a webinar offered by the ERC National Contact Points on how to prepare a successful Advanced Grant 2020 proposal. The Advanced Grant 2020 call is open until 26 August 2020.

This past Friday 29 May, ICREA Prof. Dr Clivia M. Sotomayor-Torres participated in the webinar “How to prepare a successful Advanced Grant 2020 proposal (part 2)”, offered by the ERC National Contact Points in Spain.

These ERC Advanced Grants are intended to support research projects at the frontier of knowledge in any topic. They must be led by senior researchers with at least 10 years of experience who carry out their work in one of the EU Member States or associated countries.

The webinar dealt with the preparation of the B1-Extended Synopsis and B2-Scientific Proposal (State of the Art, Objectives, Methodology, Resources) of the application, showing the proposal submission system too.

The last part of the presentation was reserved to show a success story. ICREA Prof. Dr Clivia M. Sotomayor, Group Leader of the ICN2 Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures Group, explained her experience with the preparation of the proposal with which she obtained her ERC Advanced Grant 2019: LEIT – Lossless information for Emerging Information Technologies (GA Nº 885689).

The Advanced Grant 2020 call has a budget of 492M€ and is open from 14 May to 26 August 2020, making this the last call within the Horizon 2020 Programme.
