Focus on 2D Materials for Sensing and Biosensing Platforms by ICREA Prof. Arben Merkoçi

The ICN2 Group Leader is the guest editor of a collection of articles in 2D Materials about sensing and biosensing devices using graphene and other 2D materials.

The journal 2D Materials has prepared a “Focus on Graphene and Other 2D Materials for Sensing and Biosensing Platforms” covering all aspects of using graphene and other 2D materials for these purposes. A main focus of this collection is the integration of graphene and other 2D materials into novel and innovative sensing and biosensing systems that could impact the medicine, environmental and security sectors.

ICREA Prof. Arben Merkoçi, Group Leader of the ICN2 Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors Group, has been in charge of preparing this special issue. The collection is made up of 13 original research papers and two topical review articles, together with an editorial by Prof. Merkoçi, that provide an up to date and comprehensive summary of the field.
