A new paper in "Small" reporting on a research about nanorods, led by IREC and participated by the ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, is featured in the inside back cover of the journal.
The paper presents nickel iron diselenide nanorods, explaining how the authors produced them in an aqueous media and used them electrocatalitically to convert methanol to formate at a high rate. The work shows a very promising example of application exploiting the electrocatalytic conversion of biomass‐derived chemicals. The investigation, led by Prof. Andreu Cabot from from the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research, IREC, and Prof. Chunhua Cui from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, was participated by the ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, led by ICREA Prof. Jordi Arbiol.
