Paula Cid, member of the ICN2 community, won a contest organized by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili for a photograph about the loneliness of the researchers facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona awarded Paula Cid, visiting technician at the ICN2 in the Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications group for a photograph about the loneliness of the scientist in the research against the COVID-19 disease.
The picture, called ‘The upside down’, portrays her behind the door window of the laboratory where she is working, wearing the full protecting equipment required to handle hazardous biological material. The group she is member of is currently working on biosensors for detecting COVID-19, and her picture is an homage to all scientists working in these conditions against the pandemic.
