Dr Jorge Albalad awarded the UAB Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in Chemistry
Former PhD student at the ICN2, in Prof. Maspoch’s group.
Dr Jorge Albalad Alcalá developed his thesis work on “Post-Synthetic Modification of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Polyhedra (MOPs)” in the ICN2 Supramolecular NanoChemistry and Materials Group, led by ICREA Prof. Daniel Maspoch. This research earned him the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize 2019-2020 in Chemistry of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB).
The UAB Extraordinary Doctorate Prizes are awarded to graduate students across all the areas of the Doctoral Programme among all the theses defended in an academic year (one prize for every five theses), without the doctor being required to apply for it. Awardees are entitled to a refund of the fee they paid to apply for the degree and to a certificate.
