The Specialised Group on Colloids and Interfaces (GECI) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) and Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF) conferred the “Elvira Rodenas Ciller” 2021 Award for the Best PhD thesis on Colloids and Interfaces Science to Dr Amadeo Sena-Torralba. This prestigious recognition includes a 1000-euro prize.
Dr Sena received his PhD in July 2020 for his work on “Development and application of innovative point-of-care biosensing platforms” carried out at the ICN2 in the Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors Group, under the supervision of ICREA Prof. Arben Merkoçi and Dr Ruslán Álvarez.
