She was involved in some of the activities of the CoNVat project.

Laia Avilés Domínguez received the “Extraordinary Award for Bachelor’s Degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” from the Autonomous University of Barcelona for the research project that she developed at the ICN2, in the NanoBiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group, led by Prof. Laura Lechuga.

She had the opportunity to participate in the activities of the EU funded CoNVat project, aimed at developing biosensors for quick and reliable diagnosis of COVID19. She was involved in the study of optimized methodologies for SARS-CoV-2 antigen detection, specifically for protein S, based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensors.

Laia also participated in the 2016 edition of the “Crazy for Physics” Programme, aimed at high school students, coordinated by the ICN2. Congratulations Laia!
