Graduation of first class of the Master in Quantum Science and Technology
The graduation of the first edition’s students and the launch of the second academic year of the MQST Programme took place on September 9.
The first academic year of the Master in Quantum Science and Technology - Barcelona has come to an end and, on 9 September 2022, the students of its first class celebrated their graduation. Launched in March 2021 by the University of Barcelona (UB), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Catalan Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), the Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE) and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), this highly specialised Master’s Programme offers a new training opportunity to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in pursuing a research career in quantum science and its practical applications.
Given the success of the first edition, a new academic year and course have been launched. "This Master’s Programme is the result of a coordinated effort by the whole quantum community in Catalonia and we are all extremely happy and proud of both our students and lecturers. We have all worked together to make this first edition of the Master successful. Today, we look forward to the new adventures of the second edition while we wish the very best for the careers of our fantastic newly graduated students," commented Prof. Bruno Julia, coordinator of the MQST and professor at UB.
