LeaderShe: computer scientist Dr Nuria Oliver shares her personal journey through Artificial Intelligence

The LeaderShe seminar series launched by the ICN2 Equal Opportunities Committee continued on 18 November with a talk by Dr Nuria Oliver, computer scientist, cofounder and Director of ELLIS Alicante, Chief Data Scientist at DataPop Alliance, first Director of Research in Data Science at Vodafone.

LeaderShe series brings to the ICN2 successful women to share their experience in reaching a leadership position in their professional lives. The talk by Dr Nuria Oliver was entitled “Artificial Intelligence: my personal journey”. The event was presented by Dr Belén Ballesteros, CSIC Research Scientist and Unit Leader at the ICN2 Electron Microscopy Unit.

She is one of the most cited female computer scientists in Spain, with her research having been cited by more than 19.000 publications, and has received tens of awards and honours, including the Jaume I Award in New Technologies (2021) and the Distinction of the Valencian Government (2017). She is worldwide renowned for her work in computational models of human behavior, human computer-interaction, mobile computing and big data for social good
