Prof. Lechuga-Gómez named Honorary Member of Spanish Optical Society

The Society, active since 1968, has now 42 honorary members.

The Spanish Optical Society (SEDOPTICA) has named Prof. Laura Lechuga Gómez, leader of the ICN2 NanoBiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group, as an honorary member in recognition of her important contributions to the field. According to the Society, Prof. Lechuga, with her successful research and numerous awards, is a model and stimulus for those who are new to scientific and academic activity.

The Spanish Optical Society was founded in 1968 with the purpose to promote the development of optics, as well as the research and industrial applications of its different branches. It is under the patronage of the Spanish Scientific Research Council (CSIC) and belongs to the Spanish Confederation of Scientific Societies (COSCE). SEDOPTICA currently have 42 honorary members.
