Diari Ara explains the Biomedical Devices Work Package of the Graphene Flagship

The new Work Package, co-led from the University of Manchester and ICN2, will focus on the development of smart implants with therapeutic functionality for specific clinical outcomes in disciplines such as neurology, ophthalmology and surgery.

The Graphene Flagship announced in Barcelona a Work Package to design 2D-materials-based Biomedical Technologies. The new Work Package will focus on the development of smart implants with therapeutic functionality for specific clinical outcomes in disciplines such as neurology, ophthalmology and surgery. It is led by Professor Kostas Kostarelos, from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and ICREA Professor Jose Antonio Garrido, from the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2). The Catalan newspaper Ara covered it in a full page.
