Timely detection is key to combating cancer and other diseases. The technology developed by the Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group, led by Prof. Laura M. Lechuga, has enormous potential for application in this area. It is also suitable for use in developing countries, where sophisticated laboratory equipment and facilities are not available.

Recently her work has been highlighted in an article in Cinco Días with the title “The faces behind the anti-cancer armoury of the future”, alongside that of Ángel Raya, of the Centre of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona, and Adriana Terrádez, co-founder of BioSequence.
