ICN2 at the European Week of Sustainable Energy

Vil·la Urània, a public space with a special flavour for science dissemination at the heart of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in Barcelona, hosted several events related with the European Week of Sustainable Energy. Prof. Pedro Gómez and Daniel Rueda, from the ICN2 Novel Energy-Oriented Materials Group, were among the participants.

In the framework of the European Week of Sustainable Energy (17-21 June), experts from the field of energy transition participated in a number of events about the energy of the future and the social impact of the energetic system. Vila Urània, a public space in Barcelona programming many science dissemination events at the heart of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, held a series of discussions about energy and sustainability.

Prof. Pedro Gómez, Group Leader of the ICN2 Novel Energy-Oriented Materials Group, participated in a round table with experts, including Prof. Xavier Obradors, Director of the ICMAB, and moderated by Dr. Jordi Díaz-Marcos from the University of Barcelona. The event, which included participants from IREC, ICFO, CNM and Xarxa per la Sobirania Energètica, was entitled “The energy of the future or the future of energy”. On the other hand, Daniel Rueda, PhD researcher at the same ICN2 Group, participated in another event entitled “From batteries to a new energetic model”.
