New SCN2 Direction Board with ICN2 researchers as President and Vice-President
Marta Delgà, a doctoral student at the Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices group, is the new President of the Catalan Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SCN2), and María Tenorio, from the Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy group, will take the charge of Vice President, with all their responsibilities. They are both very excited about future plans in the society. Elisa Rodríguez is still the Community Committee Leader as last year.
Starting from next month, the Catalan Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SCN2) is going to have a new Direction Board for the period 2022-2023, with three ICN2 researchers as members. Marta Delgà, a doctoral student in the Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices (AEMD) group, will be the new President; María Tenorio, from the Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy group, will take the charge of Vice President; Elisa Rodríguez Lucas, research assistant in the AEMD group and in the spin-off INBRAIN will keep the Community Committee leadership role.
Congratulations to all of you on this new responsibility!
About the SCN2
SCN2 is a non-profit, young, and independent society born in 2016. The majority of its members are researchers and students related to the “nano” world. The main aim of SCN2 is to build a strong network of people involved in research –both academically and industrially oriented- and fruitful connections with young students (Master and Bachelor), and the society in Catalonia. It is a network aiming at dynamizing research and creating strategic value, through mentoring.
Particularly in the research field, SCN2 is a unique platform that connects the academic and the industrial world and offers a wide range of formative and social activities oriented to strengthen key skills for researchers and connect people (for example, “Clar i Català”, one of the SCN2 activities, is a space were international researchers can learn Catalan). SCN2 provides a strong network environment for people related to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at universities, research, and technological centers.
You can take a look at the SCN2 website for more information about the society's activities and also at the SCN2 Annual Congress of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CANN), one of the main scientific events organized by the society. SCN2 is always looking for researchers willing to take an active part in it!
We encourage you to contact them to join the SCN2!
